Ham and Swiss Quiche

Tonight's supper. It hasn't been tasted yet.

Quiche (All Recipes)

1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

4 tsp. flour

1/2 cup cooked ham, diced

3 eggs

1 cup milk

1/4 tsp. each, salt and dry mustard

1 9-inch pie crust

2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley for garnish

2 Tbsp. chopped pimento peppers for garnish

In medium bowl, toss flour with the grated cheese. Sprinkle mixture into the pie shell. On top of the cheese, sprinkle the ham.

In medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt and mustard. Beat until smooth and pour over cheese and ham. Put plastic wrap large enough to overlap sides over top of quiche, then a piece of foil, and seal well around edges. (Plastic keeps the foil from sticking to the food.) Place in freezer.

When ready to prepare, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove foil and plastic. Bake for 60 minutes or until filling is set. Garnish with parsley and pimiento if desired.

I didn't freeze. I made it and baked it. Now it is time to eat. I'll let you know how it is.

Yum! This is definitely a keeper!

I found this recipe in Country Magazine. It is delicious so I thought I would share.

Sweet and Spicy Chicken Drummies

In a large resealable bag, combine 2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup paprika, 2 Tbsp. salt, 2 tsp. pepper, 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1 tsp. chili powder and 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper. Add 20 drumsticks, a few at a time; shake to coat. Place in two greased 15x10x1-inch baking pans. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. (A small amount of meat juices will form in the pan.) Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

I didn't let them sit at all and it was still very flavorful.

Wood burned Christmas gifts

We made these pictures for the kids and grandchildren for Christmas. Bryon cut the wood and routered it. I did the wood burning and painting.

Fish for dinner

This is going to be soooo good! A little old bay, butter and lemon juice. Wrap in foil and grill.

2x4 summer

I cut a 2x4 in different sized pieces. Painted them. I had to mix my colors because Bryon likes the dark colors so I had no pastels. Cut out some scrapbook paper and mod podged it on. Then painted the letters on. (I want a Silhouette!) I found some beachy clipart and glued them on.

Note to self....Paint letters on before modpodging. It took several coats of paint and you can still see streaks.

Toilet Paper Cabinet

I didn't get the measurements for this, but I think it holds 4 rolls of toilet paper. There are some twigs and a bird that go in the top. It was all ready to get packed in the truck for the farmers market before I remembered to take a picture of it.

Brent and Sasha's Wedding Card

I have had this card made and was just waiting for a wedding to get the picture. I stole the pic from Sasha's Facebook photos :) stuck it in the frame, glued the top down and mailed it off. I hope they liked it.

I have until August to get their gift made and take it with me when I go to PA.

Patriotic 2x4 decor

I made these. The blue is 6-3/4 inches. The red and white pieces are 5 inches. I only used one coat of paint because I liked the grain showing through. I didn't do a good job at keeping my stars the same size. They start out small and get bigger and bigger. Oh well. I still like it.

Owl Cabinet

SOLD Not a good pic but it is a dark dreary day here in MT. I had to use the flash. I will get a better pic when the sun is shining on Tuesday. This is approx. 16x22x6. The sides and inside and bottom are green. The owl is wood burned.
I like the way he did the pinecone cabinet better. With the door set in, so you can see the green. I think he can add the pieces of wood around the edge to the pinecone one. I really like that.
